TAGUIG CITY, Philippines — The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) Taguig has entered a new chapter of leadership, with new President Daniel H. Perez outlining an ambitious roadmap centered on digital transformation, stronger business-government collaboration, and expanded opportunities for local enterprises.

Speaking during the chapter’s induction ceremonies, Perez emphasized that the strength of the chamber has always come from members who choose to contribute their time, expertise, and resources to help fellow entrepreneurs succeed.

“When we all said yes to becoming members of PCCI Taguig, we were saying yes to becoming part of something bigger,” Perez said. “A community where competitors become collaborators, where experienced entrepreneurs open doors for one another, and where government and business choose partnership over distance.”

Building a Stronger, More Connected Business Community

As businesses navigate rising operational costs, inflationary pressures, supply chain uncertainties, and the accelerating shift toward digitalization, Perez highlighted the chamber’s role as a critical bridge between the private sector and local government.

Recognizing the need for stronger connectivity among members, the new administration announced plans to launch the chapter’s official website and membership management platform. The initiative aims to streamline membership onboarding, provide a centralized business directory, improve communication among members, and create easier access to chamber programs and benefits.

According to Perez, growing the chamber’s membership base is a strategic priority, enabling PCCI Taguig to amplify the collective voice of businesses while creating greater opportunities for collaboration and economic growth.

Expanding Tangible Benefits for Members

A major focus of the incoming administration is the development of high-value partnerships that provide practical benefits to member companies and their employees.

Among the first initiatives announced is a PHP 5 million scholarship grant from Enderun Colleges, available to employees of chamber-member organizations. The grant may be applied toward senior high school, undergraduate, and continuing education programs.

Additional partnerships are being developed with hospitality, healthcare, wellness, and service providers. Perez revealed that discussions are underway with F1 Hotel Manila for special rates and event privileges for chamber members, while healthcare partnerships are also being explored to provide accessible wellness services and preventive healthcare benefits for employees across various industries.

Recognizing the growing importance of technology and artificial intelligence, PCCI Taguig will also launch a three-part AI and digital transformation workshop series designed to equip business owners, executives, and MSMEs with practical tools and strategies that can help them remain competitive in an increasingly digital economy.

The program, spearheaded by the chamber’s technology leadership team, is expected to feature experts and industry leaders from major global technology organizations, including Amazon, Microsoft, Google, and Snowflake.

“These are the kinds of benefits that make membership truly matter,” Perez said. “We want to create opportunities that help businesses shield, sustain, and scale.”

A Chamber Built on Participation

As he concluded his address, Perez encouraged members to move beyond passive membership and become active contributors to the organization’s programs and committees.

He emphasized that the future success of PCCI Taguig will depend not only on its leadership but on the collective participation of its members.

“Years from now, I want the success of this chapter to belong entirely to the people in this room,” Perez said. “It will be defined by the members who decided to collaborate, drive initiatives, and make PCCI Taguig a stronger chamber for everyone.”
