Dr. Lee is a Professor of Economics working for Yeungnam University in Korea. He taught Development Economics at West Virginia University for two years before he joined the faculty of Yeungnam in 1991. Since then, he has been teaching Economics at Yeungnam for 23 years. He also taught at the College of William and Mary in Virginia and also at the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania.
At Yeungnam University, he has held a number of administrative posts including, among others, Associate Dean of the College of Business and Economics, Director of Foreign Language Institute and, most recently, Director of the Center for Project Development and Administrative Support, at the Institute for International Development Cooperation. He also served as Associate Dean for External Relations at the Park Chung Hee School of Policy and Saemaul.
He has also gained extensive field experiences in the context of globalizing Saemaul Undong – Korea’s New Community Development Movement. He has conducted feasibility studies, post-project evaluations, Record of Discussion consultations and other activities in a number of different countries.
Dr. Lee has received multiple recognitions from the President of Yeungnam University for his distinction in teaching and excellence in student services.
