Enderun's Founders
Enderun was founded in 2005 by a diverse group of business and community leaders, committed to building a world-class Hospitality Management College in the Philippines. Jack Tuason, Enderun's Lead Founder, is a well-known hotelier, who most notably opened Discovery Suites, one of Manila's most successful hotels. Mr. Tuason is also a noted developer and entrepreneur. Ambergris Solutions, a company he co- founded, is one of the world's largest providers of business process outsourcing solutions, with over 4000 employees, and a client roster that includes some of the world's top multinational companies. The Hotel College's Co-Founders include John Suits, Ambergris' former Chairman and CEO; Javier Infante, Enderun’s president, Ambergris' former CEO and a former Boston Consulting Group strategy consultant; Rosanna Tuason-Fores, a founding shareholder of Ambergris, who presides over extensive interests in the real estate, telecommunications and agriculture fields; Jean-Henri Lhuillier, head of the Lhuillier Group of companies, and one of the Philippines' most active philanthropists; Ruben Tiu, whose JTKC Equities owns a portfolio of hotels and commercial real estate; Daniel Perez, Tsinghua-Enderun’s business development director, former corporate planning manager of Discovery Suites and a graduate of Les Roches; Chuck Floyd, COO of Hyatt Corporation; and Frank Lavey, VP-Northwest Dvision of Hyatt Corporation and General Manager of Hyatt Regency Maui.
The Founders of Enderun envisioned a new kind of international hotel school, molded to the imperatives of a changing global marketplace, but grounded in the finest academic traditions. They envisioned a unique undergraduate institution that would offer students foundational training in business and general management, a solid footing in the humanities and practical sciences, an international perspective, and practical experience of the world's largest industry. Most importantly, they envisioned a value-rich institution that would animate students with the love of learning, the ambition to lead and the entrepreneurial spirit. Enderun's mission is to produce leaders, who burn with the desire to succeed in their chosen careers either in hotel administration or culinary arts, and who are driven to make a difference in the world.
Enderun's Founders are actively involved in all aspects of the hotel school's operations, and work closely with students and parents, to ensure maximum opportunity for the school's graduates. Mr Tuason, the school's Lead Founder, also chairs its Advisory Board.
