At Enderun, all bachelor's degree candidates must complete two industry internships. An Enderun Career Development and Industry Placement Manager closely supervises each intern's work, and coordinates with Enderun's industry partners to ensure that internships offer genuine learning and networking opportunities that complement classroom perspectives and enhance student career prospects.
The first internship, undertaken during the student's sophomore year, offers broad exposure to the workings of international-category hotels, resorts, and caterers, and reinforces classroom instruction on hotel and restaurant operations with entry-level experience in hotel departments such as front office, housekeeping, sales and marketing, food & beverage and culinary arts.
A second internship, reserved for seniors, synthesizes lessons from Enderun's general management curriculum and offers students the opportunity to gain real-world supervisory experience in local hotels. Seniors may also complete their senior internships abroad and gain international exposure in leading hotels and restaurants around the world.
No classroom education can replace the value of real-life experience. At the Enderun College of Business, students are required to take at least two internships before they graduate. Students are advised to take at least one of their internships outside of the Philippines to broaden their horizons, build character and provide a real-life reference to the international nature of the program.
Students in their senior year at Enderun's BSBA program can avail of the placement services of the Career Development and Industry Placement Office to line up interviews and find the right job to suit their profile and their personal objectives.
The focus at Enderun is on building partnerships and on laying foundations for success both in the workplace and in life. Enderun has partnered with leading international corporations, and it is the role of the Office of Student and Career Services to uses these partnerships to provide career advice and assistance to students and alumni.
Enderun students benefit from the College's network of industry partnerships. Enderun's industry partners are aligned with student concentrations, and are a vital part of each track's ecosystem. Corporations partner with Enderun to ensure that the College's educational objectives are aligned with the most pressing industry needs. In turn, they provide input on curriculum development, guest lecturers and student internships.
The Office of Student and Career Services also tracks suitable job openings around the world and works closely with the industry partners to identify employment opportunities for graduates.
